I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Kim and I am the head dog trainer. I combine years of experience in animal behavior to assist dog owners with both obedience and behavioral issues. My most rewarding and challenging training experience was owning and operating Blue Buck Kennel, an all-breed rescue organization. This enabled me to work with a variety of dogs and varying degrees of training. Many Southern California shelters looked to me to rescue the harder to place dogs with great success. Since coming to Townhouse in the summer of 2000, many dog owners and rescue organizations have been helped by my positive reinforcement based methods.
We offer private in-home and in-boarding sessions tailored to your needs. Our feeling is that there is no need to teach commands that are irrelevant to you and your pet. The sessions are always done on a personalized one on one basis to optimize result. Our training is positive reinforcement based, where we provide owners a clear way to teach their dog to “make better choices.” Dogs need choices in order to succeed in life and knowing what “makes dogs do what they do” makes our techniques very successful and easy.
